Job summary
We are an established, friendly, and supportive training practice in West Swindon with a patient list of 10,000, looking for a 4-8 session Salaried GP to join our stable and experienced team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and team oriented Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice in West Swindon. You will provide high-quality, person centered care to our diverse patient population, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and a well organised practice infrastructure.

Essential qualifications: fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register.

Main Duties of the Role
You will undertake the full range of general practice duties including:

• Face to face 15 min consultations with maximum of 25 patient contacts per day
• Protected administrative time per session with no salaried lists
• Home visits within a defined boundary (maximum 15 minutes from the practice)
• Signing repeat prescriptions
• Assessing and managing undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Developing care plans in line with current disease management protocols
• Prescribing within the practice formulary
• Recording clear, contemporaneous notes, with the option of AI transcription support
• Not affiliated with any care or residential homes

You will manage your own clinics, dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.

You will be joining a practice that offers a collaborative working environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute to practice development. We meet daily over a shared coffee break for informal case discussion and team connection, complemented by weekly practice meetings that support ongoing clinical and organisational development.

We have a permanent team of two clinical partner GPs, four salaried GPs, an established nursing team, PCN Pharmacy team, First Contact Physiotherapist. We have a committed management structure, including business partner, that values collaboration and sustainability in general practice. We pride ourselves on delivering patient-focused medicine with continuity of care at the heart of what we do.

Job responsibilities
Provide high quality, patient centred primary care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. Deliver consultations via face to face, telephone, and digital platforms, and develop appropriate management plans. Prescribe medications, request and interpret investigations, and make referrals to secondary care where required. Promote health and wellbeing through preventative care and patient education. Maintain accurate clinical records and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care.

Qualifications
Essential

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register
• Licence to practice and evidence of ongoing CPD

Desirable

• Experience of working within the NHS
• Experience of working in primary care
