Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing high-quality psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for children and young people, either
face-to-face at our Leamington Spa clinic or
via secure online platforms. The role offers flexibility in working hours and modality, making it suitable for clinicians seeking part-time or full-time private practice alongside other commitments.
Main Duties of the JobKey Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents.
- Diagnose and manage a range of mental health conditions, including neurodevelopmental, emotional, and behavioural disorders.
- Develop and review treatment plans, including medication management where appropriate.
- Provide follow-up appointments and ongoing clinical care.
- Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to patients and families.
Multi-Disciplinary & Collaborative Working- Work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Liaise with parents/carers, schools, GPs, and other professionals as required.
- Participate in MDT discussions and care planning.
Documentation & Reporting- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical records.
- Produce professional reports and correspondence suitable for GPs, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation meets GMC, organisational, and GDPR standards.
Governance & Professional Practice- Work in accordance with GMC guidance, NICE standards, and best clinical practice.
- Maintain appropriate indemnity and revalidation requirements.
- Participate in clinical audit, peer review, and supervision as required.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
- CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent specialist registration.
Desirable- Experience working in private practice.
- Experience with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ADHD, ASD).
- Familiarity with NICE guidelines and private healthcare pathways.
- Interest in service development or clinical leadership.
ExperienceEssential- Experience assessing and treating children and adolescents.
- Confidence delivering care both face-to-face and via online consultations.
- Excellent communication skills with children, young people, and families.
- Commitment to high standards of clinical care and ethical practice.
