Providing comprehensive, continuous primary care to individuals and families. The role includes diagnosing and managing a wide range of health conditions, offering preventive care (such as vaccinations and health screening), managing chronic diseases, and providing health education and lifestyle advice. Coordinating patient care, making referrals to specialists and other services when needed, while maintaining a holistic, patient-centered approach across all ages and stages of life.
Main duties of the job- Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all age groups
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and injuries
- Oversee chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, hypertension)
- Administer preventive care, including immunisations, screening programs, and health assessments
- Conduct thorough patient consultations, physical examinations, and risk evaluations
- Prescribe and monitor medications with a focus on safety and appropriateness
- Deliver health education and lifestyle counselling to support overall wellbeing
- Ensure consistent continuity of care by monitoring patients' ongoing health needs
- Refer patients to specialist practitioners and coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare
- Maintain precise medical records and detailed clinical documentation
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with ethical and legal obligations
- Provide prompt responses to medical emergencies and urgent situations
- Engage in clinical audits, ongoing training, and continuous professional development

We are a teaching practice with 11,700 approximately registered patients.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Medical Degree MBBS, completion of MRCGP, GMC Full registration to licence to practice, CCT, Revalidation evidence and CPD
- Experience with EMIS, Docman and Accurx
- Additional areas of speciality welcome.
