This is a key role within the Imaging Department, the post holder will have a pivotal role in supporting the service to meet its activity and quality improvement priorities, diagnostic and cancer performance standards and strategic development of the service.

We are looking for a skilled radiographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team at BHOC providing a comprehensive imaging service across a range of Theatre orthopaedic imaging and clinical specialties.

Imaging services across Barts Health are transitioning to a new model of work, recruiting experience staff to drive the quality of care delivered by Radiography across at BHOC site. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality radiographic examinations.
• Ensure excellent patient care and experience at all times.
• Support junior staff, students, and newly qualified radiographers.
• Contribute to quality improvement, radiation safety, and departmental audits.
• Contribute to the delivery of a safe and efficient imaging service, including shift and weekend working as required (participate in the delivery of a 24/7, 365 service).

Essential

• Fulfilled a varied role as a radiographer in the Band 5 position.
• Evidence of some role extension or as an experienced Band 6 radiographer with specialized Imaging procedures.
• Evidence of CPD, including attendance at relevant short course & study days.

Qualifications
Essential

• BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or equivalents
• Health and Care Professions Council Registration

Desirable

• Postgraduate study in a relevant area

Skills
Essential

• Competent to perform IV injections and cannulation (or willing to undergo training).
• Skilled in keyboard and mouse operation of computerized technology Able to operate VDU equipment.
• Teaching and training skills with the ability to adapt training and teaching styles in response to needs of the trainee.
• Team player with enthusiasm for radiography, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
• IT skills, with advanced levels of understanding of Microsoft office
• PACS, RIS and CRS knowledge and experience.

• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective communication in a wide range of situations in writing, person or by telephone
• Keep all records up to date in a clear, accurate and concise manner on a day-to-day basis

• Required to work 0800-1600 hours weekdays and participate in evening, night & weekend shifts as appropriate
