Job summary
We are looking for a passionate, motivated and inspiring Practice Development Nurse to join our community hospital team on a 12-month fixed term contract, working across all community sites and travelling between locations according to service needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education, teaching, staff development and improving the quality of patient care.

You will play a key role in supporting our nursing and healthcare teams to develop clinical knowledge, skills and confidence within our teams. The individual should be passionate about creating a positive culture of learning and encouraging continuous professional development for our teams.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and developing others, identifying learning needs and delivering meaningful and relevant education.

We are looking for an individual who is approachable, organised and motivated to help staff grow and reach their potential.

The role will be required to travel between community sites so flexibility and the ability to work across multiple sites is essential

Main duties of the job
To assist with empowering and enabling the ward/department teams to ensure that patient care is delivered to the highest standards of care, utilising research and evidence-based practice, in line with BCUHB Nursing Policies and Procedures and NMC Code of Practice and professional standards and guidance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Teaching/assessing qualification to Postgraduate Diploma Level or equivalent
