This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months due to maternity cover. The opportunity has arisen to join the friendly and established team on Prysor ward, care of the Elderly at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Prysor is a busy 16 bedded dynamic and fast paced Stroke ward who is passionate about delivering high quality patient care.

The ability to speak welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and English speaker are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job
Job responsibilities
As a band 5 on Prysor you're main responsibilities will include;
  • Manage a team of patient and ensure patient needs are met.
  • Maintain patients nursing documentation and records.
  • Communicate and involve patients and their relatives/carer in the planning and delivery of care.
  • Assist in leading a Multidisciplinary meeting for discharge.
  • Co-ordinate the work of healthcare support workers, assistant. practitioners and students in the delivery of nursing care.
  • Participate in service development and ward Accreditation.
