Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the role of Clinical Service Lead for Hospital at Night in the Medicine Division, Urgent and Critical Care.

"The mainstay of the job is to oversee the medical rotas for H@N. There is an absolutely fantastic admin team that are able to write the rotas and fill the gaps, organise swaps etc..The management team is incredibly supportive and have been wonderful at helping with business cases, recruitment and financial solutions for HAN.
It has been a really rewarding job, which requires you to liaise with multiple teams across the hospital. It has been excellent for developing professional relationships within the Trust, with trainees, site practitioners, consultants, and management teams."
Main duties of the job- trouble shoot when gaps are urgent
- have an oversight of the whole medical workforce and be involved in long term workforce planning
- oversee recruitment to HAN posts
- oversee induction of new trainees (particularly IMGs)
- ensure the needs of trainees are met (both training and non training)

Job responsibilitiesThis role is job planned at 1 APA. There is one weekly Monday team meeting, as well as daily support sometimes needed for gap cover.
Person SpecificationExperience and Qualifications- Full registration with GMC (E) with a license to practice or Equivalent
- Substantive Consultant or doctor within 6 months of completing their training and becoming a consultant

- Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment
