Job SummaryAt Buckshealthcare we are currently looking for an experienced Cath lab nurse preferably with previous management experience to join our Cath lab team during a period of change. We are in the privileged and exciting position of being able to expand our Cardiology service in the next 18 months to 2 yrs with a new build on the current site. This build will incorporate new Cath labs and expansion of the current services that we offer including PPCI, Complex devices, PFO and renal deviation. The successful candidate will be part of the team that shapes this change for the community that we serve whilst maintaining standards within the team and striving to continue to provide outstanding patient care during the transition and beyond.
Main duties of the jobYou will provide specialist clinical expertise in managing staff and patients within the Cardiology department. Lead and coordinate the Cath Labs clinical, managerial and educational requirements, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity.
Provide nursing leadership which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, using evidence-based nursing care within a defined budget.
Maintain and monitor standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Accountable for providing clinical and managerial leadership by leading by example to maintain visibility and accessibility to staff, patients and visitors, including undertaking direct clinical care of patients.
Provide direct educational and clinical support and education to the staff of the Cardiology department by developing and applying evidence-based practice.
Accountable for the line management of the team and deliver the delegated responsibilities of budget holder for the area.

Person SpecificationEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAININGEssential- Registered Nurse (Level 1)
- Recognised course in in practice ENB 998/SLICE /mentorship or equivalent
- Evidence of further continued professional development
- Coaching and Mentoring
DesirableEXPERIENCEEssential- Strong experience as a Band 6; Excellent post registration experience
- Previous experience as shift/team leader
- Experience of teaching students, HCAs and qualified staff
- Experience in appraisals and personal development plan
Desirable- Experience of clinical supervision
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCESEssential- Able to travel to other sites and off site as necessary
- Ability to work collaboratively with the other wards within the Trust providing managerial support to maintain a high quality service
