Description

Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 7 Nurse to provide senior clinical leadership within the Emergency Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The role involves coordinating patient care, supporting staff, and ensuring safe, effective, and responsive service delivery in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will play a key role in decision-making, patient flow, and maintaining clinical standards, while supporting staff development and wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance leadership skills, contribute to service improvement, and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Duties of the Job:
  • Lead and coordinate shifts within A&E, ensuring safe and timely patient care
  • Support, supervise, and develop junior nursing staff
  • Manage patient flow, triage, and clinical priorities
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and CQC standards
  • Contribute to service improvement and quality initiatives

Skills and Qualities:
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive A&E experience, including triage and acute care
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and staff development
