Our imaging department provides a comprehensive range of services including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Mobile Imaging, ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in delivering accurate diagnostic imaging while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.

You’ll help us make health happen by
You'll be responsible for delivering a breast screening service performing high quality examinations as required by referring physicians according to departmental policies and procedures. accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.
Whilst doing so, you'll ensure that all patients being imaged receive a high standard of care. You'll show flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that we provide the best quality service and establishing good working relationships.

Other duties include:

• Carrying out screening and diagnostic mammography procedures; stereotactic and vacuum assisted biopsies in line with clinical protocols.
• Preparing, positioning, and reassuring patients throughout examinations.
• Producing high-quality diagnostic images while minimising radiation exposure.
• Working closely with radiologists, radiographers, clinicians, and the wider breast care team.
• Following infection control, radiation safety, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.
• To partake in departmental quality assurance.
• Supporting patients who may be anxious or distressed and providing clear information about the procedure.
• To work flexible hours to accommodate the opening hours of the Imaging Department.
• To be prepared to work in the General X-ray area of the Imaging Department.
• To oversee a comprehensive and high-quality service by monitoring standards.

Qualifications/ Experience (essential)

• Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography/Breast Screening
• BSc in Radiography or equivalent
• HCPC Registered
• Breast Screening
• Xray
