Job summaryApplications are invited for the post of Consultant in Haematopathology (10PAs).

Main duties of the jobYou will be joining a team of three full-time equivalent Consultant Haematopathologists, five Consultant diagnostic Haematologists and a Consultant Clinical Scientist, allowing the provision of a consultant-led service with sub-specialty responsibility and clinical leadership. The HODS Consultants contribute to seven regional or local MDTs through digital video-conferencing facilities. The routine working day is from 9am-5.30pm on 5 days per week. A member of the Consultant team is available 24 hours a day for discussion of urgent cases and a member of the laboratory team is on call at weekends for urgent flow cytometry requests.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Histopathology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
