Job Summary
Applicants are invited to apply for a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with specialist interest in Skin Cancer Pathology management. This post will be a joint post based at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) with sessions at North West Anglia Foundation Trust (NWAFT) amounting to 50% at each location except for the on-call duties based in Cambridge. The role will also include general Maxillofacial Surgery clinics and surgery, treating trauma patients and on-call duties.

This is a new post and the principal remit of this post is to provide a high quality Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service.

Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will complement the existing Maxillofacial consultant team of 6 Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons and a cleft surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital. They will be expected to participate in the on call rota alongside Peterborough Maxillofacial Surgery department on a 1:9 basis. Additional team members include 4 speciality registrars (including one out of program research registrar who continues to participate in the on call activity), 6 DCT's, 6 clinical fellows (who provide out of hours cover), 5 speciality surgeons and 1 FY2.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

About Us
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
