Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our patient-centred and forward-thinking Clinical Haematology Pharmacy Team.

This role provides the opportunity to deliver specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services to a highly complex haematology patient population. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in shaping and developing the service, helping to ensure the delivery of a sustainable, high-quality pharmacy service for patients across Cardiff and Vale.

The successful candidate will be supported by a team of experienced Advanced Haematology Pharmacists and an expert multidisciplinary team, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop advanced clinical practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Main duties of the job
You will be an experienced clinical role model, providing leadership, mentorship and support to pharmacy colleagues, including the education, training and development of less experienced team members. You will also play a key role in supporting the learning and development of medical and nursing colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning across the multidisciplinary team.

In addition to delivering expert clinical pharmacy services, you will contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the optimisation of medicines use within haematology. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care, supporting the highest standards of clinical practice.

Your professionalism, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for advancing patient care will enable you to build strong working relationships and become a highly valued member of our service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership, clinical, and service improvement skills while making a meaningful contribution to the care of patients with complex haematological conditions.
