Post 1 will be based within Cardiff and Vale and Post 2 will be based within Cwm Taf .
Both posts require full registration with the GDC.
These fixed term posts are offered for a period of 12 months commencing on the 2nd September 2026 until 31st August 2027.
Main duties of the jobThese posts will provide the opportunity to gain a wide expereince in treating a range of patients within the CDS patient demographic,
Clinical experience will include treating patients with complex healthneeds - which may include medical, physical or mental health needs, together withthe provision of dental care for looked after children orchildren with high rates of dental disease, and frail and vulnerableolder people.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- BDS or Equivalent
- Full GDC Registration or eligible for full registration with the GDC at intended start date
Desirable- Portfolio containing evidence of progression and development of clinical skills and professional development
- Working towards postgraduate qualification or already obtained postgraduate qualifications (MFDS, MJDF or equivalent)
ExperienceEssential- Completion of UK Dental Core Training Year 1 programme or equivalent by the time post commences
- 24 months whole time equivalent postgraduate clinical experience to the full scope of a dentist by the time post commences
- Evidence of teaching experience

Skills, Knowledge, AbilitiesEssential- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken english adequate to enable effective communication about dental / medical topics
- Have evidence that their present level of achievement and performance is commensurate with the totality of their period of training

Desirable- Training in Radiation Protection or agreement to attend next available course
