Job summary
The Care Plus Group Patient and Events Medical Services has two discrete elements.

The safe transportation of medical well patients for the sole purpose of transporting individuals for discharge from hospital, or from community facilities for example, care home or home to hospice or attendance for Out-Patients Appointment.

The second element is to provide event management services providing both First Aid support or Medical services for a range of events, including festivals, concerts sporting event and other community events.

We have a full team with a vast range of experience in successfully delivering medical cover at events across the country and our team ranges from First Responders up to Doctors and Practitioners.

The service also supports with the delivery of training in relation to first response emergency care for internal and external participants.

Main duties of the job

Hours: Bank, as and when required
Salary: Range 6 £38,020 - £46,193 pro rata, per annum. You will be appointed on a fixed point within the range.

An opportunity has arisen to join CPG in the role of Urgent and Emergency Nurse for our Event and Patient Transport service.

You will:
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner practising as an Urgent and Emergency Nurse Practitioner providing a first point of contact for the assessment, treatment, diagnosis, supplying and administering of medicines, managing, discharging and referring patients in a range of urgent, emergency, critical or out of hospital settings.
  • Undertake a range of clinical interventions, some including life sustaining treatments.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support other clinical staff and working alongside other agencies including Police and Fire.

In return you will be part of a developing service in line with the wider emergency and urgent care agenda, have access to training and a flexible approach to work. You will receive ongoing support and development.

Experience
Essential
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working directly with patients/clients in a relevant clinical field i.e. A&E
  • Experience of either triage and long-term conditions
  • Experience of mentorship and supervision of staff

Desirable
  • Worked as part of an integrated health and social care team
  • Experience of audit

Qualifications
Essential
  • RN Adult - Current NMC registrations
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject - Autonomous Practitioner/ Emergency Care Practitioner

Desirable
  • Minor Injury qualification
