Children’s Residential Care Worker

Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: £13.19 – £13.81 per hour | + £30 per sleep-in | 1.25x Overtime Pay
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for a dedicated Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our home in Braintree, Essex. No prior experience is necessary as we provide full comprehensive training. • Shifts are 2–3 days per week (08:00am to 11:00pm + sleep-in).
• Fully funded NVQ Level 4 Children and Young People’s Workforce after 6 months.
• Fully paid two week induction

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 emotional support and guidance to our children and young people.
• Create a warm, safe home environment
• Plan and attend off-site social activities and support educational goals.
• Maintain daily logs and write accurate reports for care planning and review meetings.
• To be a strong advocate for our young people

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence is preferred.
• Adaptable, empathetic, and resilient
• Must be available for rotational shifts and mandatory sleep-ins.
