An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Clinical Operations Lead at Finchley Memorial Walk-In Centre, Barnet, North London.

Finchley Memorial Walk-In Centre is a modern, well-equipped NHS unscheduled care service operating 7 days a week within a stand-alone community hospital. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and patient-focused clinical leader to provide strong clinical and operational leadership across the service.

The successful candidate will lead the clinical and operational management of patient care within the Walk-In Centre and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) setting. You will be accountable for patient experience, quality of care and the clinical environment, ensuring safe, effective and timely care in line with the SDEC clinical model.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will promote evidence-based practice, innovation, clinical governance and continuous professional development. You will lead staff, support service improvement, manage operational challenges and help ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.

Main duties of the job

• Responsible for day-to-day management, quality and risk and performance of the service delivery.
• To support the Head of Service in delivering high quality care that delivers best value and to monitor and evaluate the quality-of-care provision, identify and promote areas for service development in accordance with Trust service and team requirements
• Provide clear and consistent leadership to the professional and direct care/rehabilitation assistant/technician staff within the department/unit and be responsible for the continuous management of services.
• Take lead responsibility for ensuring that patient experience of the service are positive and for monitoring and leading improvements in conjunction with annual patient surveys, FFT, and Quality Assurance Framework for community services.
• Provide visible accessible and authoritative presence in clinical settings and patient residential environments to whom patients and families can turn for assistance advice and support
• To provide leadership and advice in response to caseload managers and the wider team regarding the needs of vulnerable adults ensuring appropriate risks are managed and escalated with appropriate action managed without detriment to patient safety and patient outcomes and continuous service delivery. Liaise with Trust and divisional safeguarding leads when necessary.
