Occupational Therapy Assistant
The closing date is 22 November 2026
Job summary
Join the Brent Children's and Young People's Occupational Therapy Team as a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and is keen to learn and develop their skills. This varied role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting Occupational Therapists to deliver care across clinics, schools and nurseries.

You will work directly with children who have occupational therapy needs and communicate with education staff and other colleagues involved in their support. Clear and effective communication skills are therefore essential.

If you are enthusiastic about supporting children and young people and would like the opportunity to develop your experience within occupational therapy, we would welcome your application.

Please note: this post is not eligible for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:
  • Support Occupational Therapists by providing regular, ongoing therapy to children, with appropriate support and supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, providing regular feedback to help ensure children receive appropriate care and treatment to maximise their potential.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain therapy resources and handouts.
  • Provide administrative support for clinical and related activities, including preparing materials, photocopying and filing.
