CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist (with additional benefits)Job summaryWe are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist on a substantive basis as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire, based across our two sites at Chesterfield and Buxton or solely in Buxton (depending on successful candidate's preference).
The successful Candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary setting with highly experienced and skilled staff while being capable of providing clinical leadership for the team.
We offer £10,000 in addition to basic salary on commencement, with a further £10,000 after 2 years in post. An additional SPA beyond the usual allocation of 1.5 PAs will also be allocated to enable our appointee to undertake defined Care Unit support. Benefits will be pro rata for part time.The CAMHS service is part of the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which also benefits from co-location of comprehensive paediatric services, (paediatricians, paediatric ward, community therapists and nurses) and the disabled children's social care team. The CAMHS team enjoy highly positive relationships with paediatrics.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPych or equivalent qualification
- CCT in child and adolescent psychiatry
- S12 Approval
- Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise or within 6 months of date of interview
Desirable- Specialist interest or additional qualifications in other areas of specialty.
ExperienceEssential- Experience of working with young people and their families/carers
- Good knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatry and wide medical knowledge
- Quality/audit project experience.
Desirable- Psychotherapy - CBT/IPT/brief intervention training.
- Other special interest/expertise relevant to the post
SkillsEssential- Clinical supervision experience/skills
- Basic IT skills
Desirable- Ability to undertake training/mentoring of clinical staff and enthusiasm for education
