We have an opportunity for a Associate Director of Clinical Services to join their team of staff in the Senior Management department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:- Lead on all aspects of nursing and clinical service delivery, ensuring care is safe, effective, responsive, and in line with CQC standards and best practice guidelines.
- Provide visible, professional leadership across clinical areas, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical strategy, aligning nursing services with wider organisational goals and local population needs.
- Lead the recruitment, retention, development, and performance management of the nursing and clinical workforce.
- Promote a strong safety culture by overseeing compliance with infection prevention, medicines management, falls prevention, pressure ulcer management, and patient observations.
- Manage clinical budgets, ensuring effective use of resources while maintaining care quality.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:- Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
- Significant experience in a senior clinical leadership role within hospital-based services.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Nursing, Healthcare Leadership, or related field.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, regulatory standards (e.g., CQC), and national nursing policy.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive service improvement in complex healthcare environments.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical management experience in a private hospital setting
