Associate Director of Clinical Services
The Park Hospital
37.5 Hours & Permanent

The Park Hospital in Nottingham is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Associate Director of Clinical Services to join their team of staff in the Senior Management department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:
  • Lead on all aspects of nursing and clinical service delivery, ensuring care is safe, effective, responsive, and in line with CQC standards and best practice guidelines.
  • Provide visible, professional leadership across clinical areas, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical strategy, aligning nursing services with wider organisational goals and local population needs.
  • Lead the recruitment, retention, development, and performance management of the nursing and clinical workforce.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by overseeing compliance with infection prevention, medicines management, falls prevention, pressure ulcer management, and patient observations.
  • Manage clinical budgets, ensuring effective use of resources while maintaining care quality.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
  • Significant experience in a senior clinical leadership role within hospital-based services.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Nursing, Healthcare Leadership, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, regulatory standards (e.g., CQC), and national nursing policy.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive service improvement in complex healthcare environments.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical management experience in a private hospital setting
