We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff in the Fertility Services department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:- Work clinically as part of the rota, providing expert oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
- Ensure the unit operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, upholding high standards of patient care at all times.
- Act as the key point of contact and leader in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager.
- Assist with daily staff allocation, rotas, and managing safe staffing levels and skill mix across the unit.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing and support staff.
- Oversee the fair and efficient management of annual leave, study leave, and sickness.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant experience in a ward, inpatient, or critical care nursing environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Good understanding of governance, patient safety, and ward/critical care protocols.
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
Desirable:- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty or critical care nursing.
- Leadership or management qualification.
- ILS/ALS certification.
- Experience working in private healthcare or a multi-specialty inpatient setting.
