Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per year

We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff on the hospitals Wards and Outpatients department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Candidates must be available to work occasional nightshifts.

Duties of this role include:
  • Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
  • Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
  • Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
  • Act as a key liaison for patients, families, consultants, and members of the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist with the coordination of admissions, discharges, and patient flow within the department.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
