About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you'll be supporting
We are different in many ways (that's what makes us so interesting), with our ages ranging from late 50s to late 80s.
  • We all use wheelchairs around the house and when we go out into the community with help from our staff.
  • We are free to move around all communal areas of our home in our wheelchairs.
  • We have different challenges which include non-verbal autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning disabilities. Our house is very loud day and night. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs.
  • It would be good if our housemate enjoyed outdoor activities including bowling, going on bus rides, going to the seaside, and going for drives in the house car.
  • Other interests include listening and singing to music (from the 60s and 80s), visiting local charity shops, getting involved with home baking and going for meals out sometimes.
  • Desirable qualities for our housemate: fun loving, kind, good sense of humour, caring, easy-going, sociable, respectful of other people's personal space and belongings, enjoys musicals and singing along to music.
