Palliative Care Assistant (Health Care Assistant)

Location: Wolverhampton, WV3 9DH
Hours: 2 posts at 34.5 hours & 1 post at 30 hours per week (rotational shifts day and night)
Salary: £25,102 pro-rata

Job summary
What will you do?
As a Palliative Care Assistant, you will provide accessible, innovative, and influential care for people living with complex and incurable conditions in our communities as well as supporting their families and carers. You will participate in delivering healthcare to patients and providing emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues.

Main duties of the job
What we want you to bring.
You will have experience of providing care in a health or social setting and hold an NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users and colleagues.

You should also be able to use IT packages such as Word and Excel.
