Job summary
We are looking for an innovative and experienced CAMHS practitioner to work in the Mid PCN/Three Spires as a community CAMHS practitioner.

Whilst employed by CFT and linked to the Mid Getting help and Advice CAMHS team, you will be working in the Three Spires PCN in a small team that includes practitioners from the voluntary sector. You will develop strong links and partnerships with GPs, adult ARRS workers and a variety of services delivering support in place based care.

The ability and interest in developing and delivery place based early intervention in partnership with primary care and the voluntary sector is key for this role.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be embedded within a Primary Care Network (PCN), working as part of the multidisciplinary team alongside GPs, practice nurses and ARRS colleagues. They will provide rapid mental health assessment, brief interventions, signposting and treatment for children, young people, parents and carers, supporting individuals to access the most appropriate services through flexible referral routes, including self-referrals and GP referrals.

The role acts as a key link between primary care, secondary mental health services and the voluntary sector, supporting the management of common mental health difficulties within primary care. Working autonomously and collaboratively, the post holder will deliver effective day-to-day mental health care, support primary care staff, facilitate smooth transitions between services, and contribute to developing innovative ways of working to meet the needs of the PCN population.

Person Specification
Education and Training
Essential

• Current professional registration - NMC, HCPC, AHP, SW, BABCP
• Professional qualification - RN (Mental Health) / OT / Social Worker / Psychologist
• Post Qualification in Child & Adolescent Mental Health or evidence-based intervention.

Desirable

• Evidence of professional updating

Experience
Essential

• Experience of working within a mental health setting

Desirable

• Experience of working with children and adolescents with complex mental health needs in a child focussed multi-agency setting.
