An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the North Cornwall Integrated Therapy Team. We are looking for a flexible, reliable person, with leadership qualities who enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Bodmin CATU is a progressive short-stay ward with a fast-paced assessment unit.The overall aim of the CATU isto provide place-based care through an inpatient chair / bed based comprehensive assessment service for individuals who require short term medical, nursing or therapy assessment _._

The post holder will treat patients with complex and varied pathologies and presentations, including a wide range of conditions. Every contact and treatment plan are different, bringing variety and challenge to each working day. We also provide outreach visits to some patients following discharge from the CATU, providing opportunity for community follow up.

You will be supported in developing your clinical skills, integration with the wider MDT and community services. As an education focused team, you will have access to an in-service training programme, clinical and peer supervision, as well as wider learning and development opportunities. We encourage our staff to actively participate in both service improvement and leadership development.

Main duties of the job
Thepurpose of the post is:

• To provide a high standard physiotherapy service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment.
• To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision and training.
• To participate in the planning and development of Physiotherapy Services.
• Model and deliver excellent evidence based clinical care, working as an autonomous physiotherapist.
• To support the community rehabilitation and reablement model in line with a 'one workforce' culture across services, settings, and sectors in the community and step-down intermediate care settings.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
Essential

• Professional Qualification - Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
• Current Professional registration - HCPC

Desirable

• Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
• Evidence of further training relevant to speciality e.g. Post Graduate Courses

Experience
Essential

• Broad range of post graduate experience of medical, surgical, orthopaedic and neurological settings
• Extensive post-registration experience
• Comprehensive experience of working as an physiotherapist with patients with complex conditions
• Experience of co-ordinating and delegating tasks to others within a team

Desirable

• A broad range of clinical experience in a variety of community and inpatient settings.
• Experience of providing regular supervision for junior team members
• Participation in clinical audit/research activity
