Job summary
Here in Endoscopy, we have a vacancy for a highly motivated forward thinking registered nurse to be part of our fantastic team.

The successful candidate will be given a full comprehensive training package to allow them to assist with procedures in endoscopy along with safe management of pre and post patients.

We work between the hours of 08:00am -18:00pm 6 days a week at present.The vacancy includes being part of a team that participates in the trust out of hours on call rota.

Main duties of the job
  • Admission of all patients onto the endoscopy unit.
  • Consenting all patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
  • Pre assess our surveillance patients.
  • Completing written communication to a high standard informing team members and the wider multidisciplinary team of any relevant information.
  • To coordinate the delivery of safe effective nursing care to all patients.
  • To adhere to the NMC Code/standards
  • To participate in nursing audit and service improvement activities.
  • To be aware of resource constraints and the importance of working within budget.
  • To act as a role member to other members of the team and to teach/support junior members of staff and students.
  • Work closely with our Bowel Cancer Screening Team

  • Nursing Degree or equivalent qualification leading to NMC registration to part 1 of the NMC register.
  • Valid NMC PIN.
