We are a popular training practice for doctors and other allied health care practitioners, which allows us to provide experienced supervision and would enable you to progress and develop your role within the practice.
About usCuckfield Medical Practice is a split-site GP Practice providing care to 13,000 patients in the Haywards Heath area. We are a large friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team of GPs, nurses, allied clinicians and skilled, experienced administrators. We are a progressive and supportive training Practice looking for a like-minded Practice Nurse who enjoys a challenge, is forward thinking and passionate about primary care.
Job responsibilitiesExperience in nursing is essential but a knowledge of chronic diseases is desirable. The role is varied and covers all aspects of general practice nursing including:
- Wound care and compression bandaging
- Removal of sutures
- Diabetes
- ECGs
- Asthma/Spirometry
- Blood pressure measurements
- Routine immunisations including childhood immunisations & flu clinics
- Cervical smears, vaginal swabs
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience of working within a nursing team
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
Desirable- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working in a GP practice
QualificationsEssential- Applicants must have current UK professional registration
