Clinical Lead. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality crisis care, supporting staff development, and driving continuous service improvement.
As a Clinical Lead, you will continue to work clinically within the team, role modelling best practice and demonstrating clinical excellence in assessment, formulation, decision-making and intervention delivery. You will provide strong clinical leadership, offering expert guidance and support to colleagues managing complex presentations and ensuring service users receive safe, effective and evidence-based care.
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and compassionate clinician who: Demonstrates excellent clinical assessment, formulation and risk management skills. Has experience of providing clinical supervision, leadership and support to multidisciplinary teams. Is committed to delivering high-quality and person-centred care. Has experience of leading service improvement, audit or quality initiatives. Possesses excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment.
Main duties of the job- Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the Crisis Team.
- Support the formulation of treatment plans and interventions across the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver regular clinical supervision and guidance to staff, ensuring high standards of clinical practice are maintained.
- Maintain a clinical caseload and support practitioners managing complex service users requiring ongoing review and treatment.
- Lead on an identified area of service development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Act as a role model for professional practice, clinical reasoning and decision-making.
- Contribute to staff appraisal, personal development reviews and workforce development initiatives.
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of relevant clinical training to support evidence-based practice.
- Lead and oversee clinical audits, ensuring timely completion and implementation of findings.
- Complete Early Learning Reviews and After Action Reviews which encourage team and practitioner reflection, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners, supporting the Crisis Team's interface with the wider mental health system.

- Experience of CBU based Model of Care Provision.
- Experience of working within a multi- disciplinary team using the CBU based approach.
- Care Packages and Pathways Clustering.
- Experience of Positive Clinical Risk Taking and Risk/Safety Planning.
Desirable- Knowledge of data systems.
- Experience of Positive Clinical Risk Taking and WRAP.
Education & QualificationsEssential- Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
- Mentor /teaching qualification.
- Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate Qualification.
Desirable- Leadership or Management Training.
- Teaching Qualification.
- Formal clinical supervision qualification.
