Teacher Practitioner/ Relief Pharmacist
Maternity Cover Contract
University of East Anglia (UEA) / Day Lewis Plc (Norwich Area)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist with a special interest in education and teaching to take on the role of Day Lewis Teacher Practitioner at the University of East Anglia. This is a Maternity Cover Contract.

Your time will be split between working for Day Lewis and working for the University. During term time you will work 1 day for Day Lewis and 3 days for the University and during University holidays you will work 2 days for Day Lewis and 2 days for the University.

At Day Lewis, you will work in local Day Lewis pharmacies across the Norwich area i.e. Great Yarmouth, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Felixstowe as agreed with the Regional Manager and Rota-Coordinator. You will support the teams in delivering services, oversee the dispensary and support the day to day running of the pharmacy. You will be required to draw upon your experiences from your practice days to ensure that teaching at the University is kept relevant and up to date. You will also support with organising student placements, participate in recruitment events, careers fairs and other Day Lewis projects.

On your days with the University, you will be responsible for working alongside a team to help shape and deliver the MPharm programme. This will include delivering lectures, workshops, applied pharmacy practice skills sessions, assessment, marking and the pastoral care of students. Support to develop teaching and learning skills will be provided.
