Job summaryWe are pleased to offer an exciting secondment opportunity until 1st January 2027 at Band 7 within the Patient Flow and Safer Staffing Team (formally Bed Capacity and Safer Staffing Team). This role provides a unique chance to gain valuable operational experience and develop leadership skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment supporting Mental Health services. Part of the expectations of the role you will lead a team daily, overseeing staffing and bed flow throughout DPT. All training will be provided. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of operational work within Mental Health and DPT. Main duties of the job- To support the management and expenditure of all temporary staffing throughout the Trust including all bank and agency staffing but excluding Medical Staffing.
- To work in conjunction with senior clinicians and managers to identify required resource, timescales, and review establishment.
- To support the bed management process across all adult and older persons inpatient units, to include Out of Area beds when required. This will include presenting information at Daily Beds and staffing Meetings and in the absence of Corporate services manager chairing the meetings.
- To ensure compliance with National requirements, internal governance, and improvement plans.
- To ensure robust support is in place for all people placed out of area or out of locality, to include their carers and families.
- To Support and Monitor Bed flow with in DPT working Collaboratively with CRHT, CMHT, Wards, AMPH Services and external agencies/partners
- Provide relevant supervision

- Significant knowledge of managing work streams and delivering on target
QualificationsEssential- Qualified RMN Nurse/Allied Mental Health professional.
- Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Adults: roles and competencies for Health Care staff
- NMC/Professional Body Registered
