This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.

Hours per week: 10 PA's (fixed term 6 months)

Main duties of the job
The vacancy is for 10 Programmed Activities, 6.88 Direct Clinical Care, with 1.5 associated Supporting Professional Activities.

The post will involve about 6 daytime theatre sessions or sessions in ICU, which will be flexible depending upon the service requirements. The successful applicants will be expected to participate in the 'out of hours' consultant 1:62 on call rota at ECT.

Qualifications
Essential

• Full registration with General Medicine Council (GMC) with license to practice
• CESR or European Community Right
• FRCA (Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists)

Desirable

• Qualification in Critical Care or registered with FICM
• Qualification in regional anaesthesia

Clinical Experience
Essential

• Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT
• Can evidence up to date practice in line with recent initiatives

• Interest / experience in critical care
• Evidence of experience with POCUS
• Pre-operative assessment expertise
