Main Duties of the JobTo provide an effective interface between Health and the Criminal Justice System as the post sits directly at the interface of these two systems. The post holder has to be aware of, adhere to and be accountable to the relevant practices and management structure in both systems.
To contribute directly to the positive working environment within the multi-agency team. This will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management. Professional practice will be accounted for through appraisal and audit
To provide specialist advice and consultation regarding diagnoses and treatment to CAMHS colleagues, external agencies, working autonomously within professional guidelines.
To manage, plan and prioritise own clinical caseload and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment, including management of risks. This is done independently within appropriate clinical/professional guidelines.
To work collaboratively with CAMHS colleagues to develop and improve the work of the service.

Person SpecificationEducation/Qualification/TrainingEssential- A qualification in Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, Registered Mental Health Nursing or Child Psychotherapy. Counselling Psychology may be considered if the applicant has relevant CAMHS experience.
ExperienceEssential- Previous experience of working in CAMHS
- Experience of working with a wide range of CAMHS problems including ASD
- Experience of working with young people and families who are involved in the youth Justice System
- Experience of care planning
- Experience of working in a culturally diverse Inner city area
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary way
- Experience in crisis work
Desirable- Work in a multi-cultural setting, including working with interpreters.
