Job summary
This is a Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity to work as part of a friendly inter-professional team in the Hastings & Rother area. Independently managing a caseload, which will include routine and complex cases who require rehabilitation in the community setting. To supervise Band 5; Band 4 and Band 3 staff. To participate in the education of other professionals or other disciplines.

Main duties of the job
To provide a holistic assessment to clients with diverse or complex presentations, working within the community as part of an inter-professional team. To provide specific occupational therapy intervention as required. To key work individual cases as appropriate. To provide occupational therapy advice to other colleagues within the team. To participate as a member of the team. To manage a clinical caseload. To support service improvement and delivery within the team. To participate in health promotion and education of staff, clients and families.

Qualifications
Essential

• BSc / MSc in Occupational therapy.
• Current registration with HCPC.
• Postgraduate qualification or evidence of relevant post-qualification professional development

Experience
Essential

• 2 years rotational Band 5 experience.
• Experience of training/supervision.
• Experience of multi-professional working.

Skills
Essential

• Ability to verbalise the clinical reasoning process in the management of routine cases.
• Motivated to work flexibly within an inter-professional framework.
• Evidence of ability to use own initiative within boundaries of role.
