The Opportunity

As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you'll learn all aspects of dental nursing while working towards your recognised dental nursing qualification.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside experienced dentists and dental nurses.
• Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental treatments.
• Learn how to prepare surgeries and equipment for patients.
• Develop your knowledge of infection prevention, control and decontamination procedures.
• Learn how to provide excellent patient care and help patients feel comfortable and at ease.
• Support the team with the smooth running of the practice.
• Learn about dental materials, instruments and equipment.
• Develop your understanding of dental records, patient confidentiality and practice procedures.
• Gain experience across different areas of dentistry, including general and specialist treatments.
• Attend study sessions as part of your apprenticeship.
• Work towards completing your dental nursing qualification with support from your assessor, tutors and the Hewett’s Dental team.

You'll be given the training, guidance and support you need to develop your confidence, knowledge and practical skills throughout your apprenticeship.

What You'll Receive

• Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an earlier finish on Fridays and flexibility to work up to two late evenings per week, as required.
• A fully supported Dental Nursing Apprenticeship.
