Job SummaryThe post holder will work as part of the EPUT Apprenticeship Team within the Education, Learning and Development Department supporting on the delivery of Internal Healthcare Apprenticeship programmes and supporting apprenticeship delivery across the organisation. The role includes delivery of the Internal Healthcare apprenticeship curriculum from: initial assessment, induction, planning, assessment and partnership working with all stakeholders.
The post holder will also be responsible for their own allocated case load of learners, completing their individual learning plans and meeting the quality requirements of the organisation, awarding/validating body, Department for Education (DfE)and partnership educational bodies involved in the process.
Main Duties of the Job- Monitor and update curriculum, and centre documentation in line with sector requirements
- Carry out learner inductions; this includes comprehensive completion of skills scans, individual learning plans, initial assessments to establish the correct level and programme of study
- Timely completion of registration, assessment and DfE documentation to meet Awarding Body, DfE and organisational requirements
- Manage an allocated caseload of learners
- Undertake planned learner observations in practice (where relevant)
- Plan, deliver and assessment of apprenticeship curriculum
- Assessment of learners in accordance with awarding body/validation and industry specific guidelines
- Work with programme team in reviewing programme content
- Timely completion of learner progress reviews and feedback processes
- Liaise proactively with managers and staff, to actively promote apprenticeships within the Trust
- Accurate maintenance of learner records ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation
- Implement feedback received from the internal quality assurers
- Ensure compliance and implementation in relation to the Education Team Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children and Adults policies and report all safeguarding concerns to line manager and Trust Safeguarding lead as per policy

- Work with key stakeholders to influence and negotiate outcomes of future apprenticeship requirements by providing complex and sensitive information.
- Produce and communicate complex and sensitive reports on apprenticeships up to and including Executive Team level
- Produce complex data in response to requests from both internal and external teams/organisations
- Represent the department and Trust at key events, educational establishments and when working with partner organisations to promote, deliver and expand opportunities in line with the promotion of Apprenticeships
- Engage with the Integrated Care Boards as required
- Demonstrate issue management skills through the ownership and resolution of any problems that arise.
- Work with colleagues to align workforce, service and training plans
- Analyse ways to improve colleagues understanding of apprenticeships and assist in the delivery of identified gaps at Care Unit level
- Work with team leads and managers to gain an understanding of their future workforce requirements and to assist them in consideration of apprenticeship programmes
- Work within and advise on policy changes that may be required within the suite of Education Policies.
- Provide feedback on suggested changes in line with national standards to the Apprenticeship Manager to ensure compliance with validation and awarding body requirements and changes in the sector
- Ensure all events and training opportunity are delivered according to the Trust quality assurance processes and they comply with any relevant external quality assurance or risk management guidelines
- Support the design, development and delivery of new programmes as required
- Ensure that all programmes are designed to use effective learning strategies
- Ensure that assessment methods employed will provide formative and summative feedback
- To make full use of blended learning methods to ensure that efficient and effective training is implemented.

Person SpecificationEducationEssential- Educated to degree level or relevant experience
- Assessors award (D33, V1 or CAVA qualification
- Post graduate teaching qualification (PGcert/CertED)
- Healthcare Science at level 5 or above
DesirableKnowledgeEssential- Knowledge and experience of the healthcare sector and requirements of the listed apprenticeship standards
- Highly developed knowledge in the use of all Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of NHS or similar organisation education pathways and the local NHS organisational structure.
- Knowledge of information governance guidance relating to information sharing and confidentiality under GDPR
SkillsEssential- Good oral and written communication skills based on fluency on the English language. Highly skilled in producing reports and data in an appropriate format.
- Significant experience of data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience of training delivery and presenting to audiences at all levels, including external.
- Skilled/experienced in coordinating a complex process and/or group of people
- Experience of ensuring standards and values required for learning, development and assessment are embedded and sustained into clinical practice.
Desirable- Experience completing time limited projects.
