Job summaryPractice Nurse Part Time (20-25 hours per week)We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive nursing team within our busy GP practice. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover position, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and has a keen interest in managing long-term conditions, particularly diabetes.

- Has previous experience working in general practice
- Has experience or a strong interest in diabetes care and other long-term conditions
- Works well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is friendly, reliable, and patient-focused
Working Hours & Salary- 20-25 hours per week (days and times negotiable)

Main duties of the jobThe Role
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of routine and specialist nursing duties, including:
- Management of long-term conditions, especially diabetes
- Chronic disease reviews
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Cervical screening and routine immunisations (depending on experience)
- Supporting patients to manage their health proactively
