Main duties of the job
The post holders must be medically qualified and have full registration with a current license to practice with the GMC. If applicants are UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. If applicants are non-UK trained, they will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT (i.e., CESR) or be within six months of obtaining such an award by the date of the interview. A high level of competence and full participation in diagnostic histopathology will be essential and involvement in departmental audit is required. Job responsibilities

Applications are invited for an NHS Consultant Histopathologist- substantive to join the team of consultant Histopathologists currently supporting clinical services at Frimley Park Hospital. The post will be based at Frimley Park Hospital.

Person Specification

• Essential: Consultant Histopathologist with at least five years Experience
• Desirable: Has experience with NHSE Screening programs
• Essential: Participation in training and supervision of trainees
• Desirable: Willingness to develop a sub-speciality interest
• Essential: Participation in QA, CPD and BSI ISO:15189 accreditation
• Desirable: Relevant research published in a peer reviewed journal
