The countywide Falls Assessment and Education Service, has a 12 month fixed term or secondment opportunity for you to join their dynamic team at an exciting time of service development across the county.
The team has a central base in Gloucester and the role will require countywide travel. The role will be mainly clinic based (at community hospitals, community bases and at the acute trust).
We can offer you the opportunity to work in a very supportive specialist team, where you will be mentored and supported to develop the specialist skills required as well as having opportunity to work in consultant led MDT clinics

Main duties of the jobTo work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, in clinic settings, independently managing a specialised clinical caseload and participating as a member of the Falls Assessment and Education Service. As part of the team you will support the teams Health and Exercise Practitioners and have opportunity to provide education to other health care professionals and the public.
The role requires the ability to carry out in depth assessments for patients who have fallen or are at risk of falls. Robust clinical reasoning and complex decision making will enable you to work with patients to agree appropriate self-management plans. You will utilise health coaching approaches, a broad awareness of referral pathways, other services and community assets.
The team comprises a clinical team lead, specialist physiotherapists, health and exercise practitioners and team administrators. You will be a key part of our team, providing assessment, specialist advice and education, as well as developing personalised management plans to enable patients to maximise their strength and balance.
