Job summaryAchieve Treatment and Recovery Services provides support for people experiencing problems with drug and alcohol use across Salford and Bury.
We are an NHS led service, working with multiple agencies in a unique partnership model.
This partnership model enables us to work with patients in a holistic way focusing on the person and not the "problem".
Main duties of the jobWe are seeking to recruit an Addictions Clinical Nurse who will deliver specialist support to our patients accessing treatment at our services across Achieve Salford and Bury. This is a unique post and the successful candidate will work across all our sites.
The successful candidate will provide a range of clinical interventions, including detox interventions, blood borne virus screening, vaccinations, administering long-acting injectable opiate medications, and a range of physical health investigations.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssentialDesirable- Evidence of additional relevant training or qualifications
ExperienceEssential- Has experience of assessing, planning and delivering clinical care
Desirable- Has experience of working in addictions services
- Has experience of delivering alcohol and opiate detoxification interventions
SkillsEssential- Able to provide a range of healthcare interventions, including venepuncture and vaccinations
Desirable- Has experience of administering long acting injectable Buprenorphine and carrying out Fibroscans
KnowledgeEssential- Has knowledge of the physical, psychological and social effects of substance use and addiction and appropriate interventions
Desirable- Awareness of current priorities in Addictions Services
