Job summaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our service, delivering high quality, person-centred care to patients in their homes & community settings.
As a Band 6 OT, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation & therapy interventions, supporting individuals to achieve their goals & maintain independence. You will manage a varied caseload, including complex cases, and contribute to service development & quality improvement initiatives.

You'll work collaboratively with other teams to support complex care needs, prevent hospital admissions, and facilitate timely discharges. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and compassionate care.
We would also consider applications for a development post - for an Occupational Therapist who has gained some experience at Band 5 and is ready to progress to Band 6. This will include a structured progression plan over a 12-month period, subject to meeting agreed competencies. Main duties of the jobWork as part of the integrated locality health and social care team delivering programmes of rehabilitation within a community setting in close collaboration with other relevant services/agencies e.g. other community and inpatient teams, social care, primary and secondary care.
Manage a caseload with supervision as required/be responsible for a defined area of service, determining daily occupational therapy and multidisciplinary rehabilitation intervention, and able to plan and implement comprehensive programmes of care for people who require intensive support / rehabilitation, guided by more senior clinicians where required.
Participate in and maintain own clinical professional development (CPD) by keeping abreast of new developments and incorporating into practice under guidance from supervisor and providing supervision and assessment rehabilitation assistants and students on placement.
