Paediatric Occupational TherapistSalary: £29,970 to £36,483 per annum (pro rata in case of part time)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Hashir International Institute and High Five OT.
The post holder will:
- Provide specialist OT services for children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties (e.g., children diagnosed with Dyspraxia/ DCD, Developmental Delays, ASD, ADHD and neurological disorders) in school, home and clinical settings
- Support children who find daily activities including handwriting, focusing on a task, getting dressed and playing with their friends difficult
- Deliver OT interventions for children under 5 years old who have sensory processing difficulties
- Support children who have emotional dysregulation and anxiety as the result of an underlying sensory disorder
- Provide therapy and support for children and young people who experience misophonia, hyperacusis, and other forms of sound sensitivity or noise defensiveness disorders
- Contribute to research studies
- Present research results in conferences and scientific meetings
- Supervise students
Hashir International Institute is an independent, UK-based research institute and multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinic employing audiologists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, health psychologists, neuroscientists and researchers.
The post holder will need to be a motivated and flexible team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The post holder must have a current registration with the HCPC and must be a car driver, with access to a car to travel to different locations in Surrey (UK) for school and home visits as well as attending our clinic in Guildford town centre.

Person SpecificationQualifications (Essential):- BSc of Occupational therapy
- Registration with HCPC
Experience and knowledge (Essential):- Knowledge of legislation and government policies related to the specialty.
- 2 years post-graduate experience in paediatric OT.
- Broad knowledge of current best practice.
- Previous therapy experience in the relevant clinical areas related to the post.
- Documented evidence of CPD.
- Competent to use standardised assessments.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant specialised clinical experience post registration.
- Experience of safeguarding
