Location: The Christie Private Care, Manchester
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Haematology to join our Pharmacy team at The Christie Private Care. As part of one of the UK's leading private healthcare providers, you'll work alongside world-renowned Consultants and multidisciplinary teams delivering exceptional care to patients with complex haematological conditions, delivering a broad range of cutting-edge treatments

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a specialist service at the forefront of haematology treatment. At The Christie Private Care we have a dedicated 6-bedded haematology unit, where we provide a wide range of haemato-oncological treatments including CAR-T therapy, bispecifics and both autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants. You'll help shape and develop pharmacy services, support the introduction of new and innovative therapies, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and provide expert medicines management across inpatient and outpatient settings. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to influence patient pathways, mentor colleagues, participate in research and quality improvement projects, and drive excellence in patient care.

As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Haematology, you'll be part of a team committed to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager, you will be the most senior member of the pharmacy team dedicated to haematology and will also have responsibilities for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). You'll act as a trusted specialist resource for pharmacists, clinicians and nursing teams, providing highly specialised medicines advice and supporting evidence-based prescribing. This role would suit an experienced hospital pharmacist with substantial haematology experience at band 7/8a level, who is passionate about innovation, patient safety and advancing clinical practice.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service across haematology services and ATMPs, providing expert medicines management and patient-focused care.
  • Support Consultant-led clinics, ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering evidence-based pharmaceutical advice.
  • Lead and support the introduction, implementation and governance of new therapies, protocols and treatment pathways.
  • Drive quality improvement, audit, research and service development projects to enhance patient outcomes and pharmacy services.
  • Provide education, training and mentorship to pharmacy, nursing and medical colleagues across the organisation.
  • Work as part of the pharmacy senior management team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, safe and effective pharmacy service.

What you'll bring:
  • MPharm (or equivalent) with current GPhC registration.
  • Significant post-registration experience within a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Proven experience within Haematology Pharmacy at a minimum of band 7 level.
  • Strong specialist knowledge of haematology medicines, treatment pathways and medicines optimisation.
  • Experience introducing and implementing new therapies, alongside educating multidisciplinary teams and supporting service development.
