We’re looking for a Clinical Embryologist to join the team at Lister Fertility Clinic at The Portland Hospital. As a Clinical Embryologist, you’ll be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team providing expert laboratory support across assisted conception treatments. Working in a technologically advanced laboratory, you'll contribute to every stage of the IVF process, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care and expertise throughout their fertility journey.
The role offers exposure to complex embryology procedures, advanced reproductive technologies and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives. What you’ll do:- Perform a range of embryology procedures including gamete handling, insemination, ICSI, embryo culture, embryo assessment and cryopreservation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure compliance with HFEA, HCPC and quality management standards.
- Support laboratory quality assurance activities, equipment monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with fertility consultants, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
- Participate in service development, audit, training and research activities to support the advancement of the fertility service.
What you’ll bring:- HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist (essential).
- MSc or higher qualification in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Science or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience working within an IVF or assisted conception laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of HFEA regulations, quality management systems and laboratory governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
