The Role Youll play a key role in delivering safe and effective vasectomy services, including: Performing non-scalpel vasectomy procedures under local anaesthetic Managing pre-operative assessments and on-the-day patient suitability checks Obtaining informed consent and ensuring patients fully understand the procedure and risks Providing intra-operative and post-operative patient support and advice Reviewing post-vasectomy semen analysis results Supporting the organisation and delivery of surgical lists Working collaboratively with the wider sexual health team to ensure outstanding careYoull primarily be based in Nuneaton, with opportunities to work across other hubs including Coventry, Rugby, and Leamington Spa.
Main duties of the jobWe are seeking experienced Non-Scalpel Vasectomy Doctors to join our bank team, supporting an established Integrated Sexual Health Service across Coventry and Warwickshire. This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a flexible role within a multidisciplinary clinical environment. You will perform non-scalpel vasectomy procedures under local anaesthetic, manage pre-operative assessments, and support patients intra-operatively and post-operatively. Your qualifications include being experienced in Non-Scalpel Vasectomy procedures and having a CoSRH Special Skills Module (SSM) in Vasectomy. You will need current GMC registration with revalidation and proven experience delivering vasectomy services in a clinical setting. Desirable qualifications include a DFSRH qualification.

- Self-booking and access to all bank shifts! Staff are given access to all Bank shifts within their Business Unit and can self-book providing they meet the shift requirements.
- Request a Duty Staff can make shifts or Day Off requests prior to the creation of a roster up to six weeks in advance.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Qualified and experienced in Non-Scalpel Vasectomy procedures
- CoSRH Special Skills Module (SSM) in Vasectomy
- Current GMC registration with revalidation and indemnity cover
- Proven experience delivering vasectomy services in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of mens health and contraception
- Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g. safeguarding, IPC, IG)
Desirable- DFSRH qualification
- Experience working within integrated sexual health services
- Familiarity with clinical systems (e.g. SystmOne)
