Job summaryWe are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team and deliver a high-quality vaccination service to patients across Hereford and the surrounding area.
This is a part-time position (24 hours per week), providing vaccinations within our surgeries, patients' homes, and residential care settings. We offer flexibility around working hours, with opportunities to work weekdays and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a primary care setting and a proven background in delivering vaccination programmes. You will be confident in administering vaccines, providing advice and guidance to patients, and working in line with national immunisation guidelines, Patient Group Directions (PGDs), and alongside our Immunisation Coordinators.
As this is a community-based role, you will need access to your own vehicle. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with HMGs policy.

Main duties of the jobConsultations:- Clinical assessment of patients for vaccination, review medical history and potential adverse reactions.
- Provide an immunisation service to our registered patients in the surgery, in the patients own home and within residential and nursing homes.
- Provide immunisations to both children and adults in line with the national childhood and adult programmes, to include seasonal campaigns.
- Provide supervision and support to HCAs as required on-site.
- Work within National guidelines , written instructions and Patient Group Directives
- The post will include lone working, and you will be required to travel to various locations.
- Document all patient contacts as appropriate on our clinical system.
CPD / Practice Admin.- Attend regular clinical updates and mandatory training as requested
- Provides summary feedback of any updates and learning points following courses/meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain professional portfolio.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- 1st level NMC Registered General Nurse, with at least three years post registration.
