Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader position to join the Mid Essex Talking Therapies service to cover maternity leave, based in Braintree in Essex and part of the Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. We are seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to provide leadership to our Talking Therapies team and may also provide support to other teams as required. You will work closely with the operational manager and senior clinicians to ensure that we continue to provide an efficient, safe, responsive, and high-quality service to our service users.

This advertised job role is a secondment position covering maternity leave. Any transfer of staff to the incoming provider would be subject to the applicable TUPE regulations and formal consultation processes.Main duties of the jobThe Talking Therapies Team Leader will work in collaboration with the operational manager to ensure that the highest possible standards of practice and service delivery are maintained. As part of this, the post-holder will have a key role of managing clinical and non-clinical operational systems and processes within the team.
They will use their management experience to lead on service changes and developments and contribute at a local level to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
They will lead a multi-disciplinary team, with involvement of service coordination, staff wellbeing, supervision, client support, complaints, governance and service performance and improvement.
They will have the opportunity to maintain a positive and supportive team culture, following trust values and to respond actively to the needs of the team.
The Team Leader will also maintain a clinical leadership role and/ or a caseload for more complex cases, dependent on sector need.

Job responsibilitiesTo work in collaboration with the Mid Essex Talking Therapies Operational Manager, to ensure the highest standards of practice and service delivery.
To provide day to day management, leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary primary care team.
You will ensure that the needs of service users are met through the effective deployment of staff.
You will also maintain a clinical role and/ or a caseload dependent on sector need.
You will ensure, in collaboration with other professional colleagues that professional practice meets standards as set by HPFT and/or professional statutes and bodies.
