What You'll Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and personalised care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out comprehensive patient assessments and pre-admission screening in line with established policies and protocols.
• Delivering high-quality clinical care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
• Providing clear, appropriate, and supportive information to patients and their families.
• Working closely with consultants, clinicians, and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
• Supporting and promoting infection prevention and control measures across the department.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring any incidents or concerns are appropriately documented and escalated.
• Acting as a professional role model and supporting junior colleagues within a positive learning environment.
• Promoting effective communication with patients, visitors, and colleagues at all times.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of services and supporting departmental and organisational objectives.

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current professional registration.
• Post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A flexible and professional approach to patient care.

Desirable Skills & Experience
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

• Clinical experience within orthopaedics.
• Experience working in pre-assessment services.
• A recognised mentorship or practice assessor qualification.
