Business Development Manager – Medical Affairs Solutions (IQVIA Pharma Review)

IQVIA Pharma Review specializes in delivering high‑quality scientific content solutions that support pharma and biotech teams across the product lifecycle. With deep expertise in scientific review and approval, Pharma Review enables organizations to accelerate the review and approval of clear, accurate, and compliant scientific materials.

Leveraging IQVIA’s global data assets, technology platforms, and advanced analytics, we provide an integrated approach to scientific content creation, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scientific rigor. Our teams combine therapeutic‑area expertise with streamlined processes to deliver timely, high‑impact outputs that support strategic decision‑making and enhance scientific engagement.

Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive the growth of Pharma Review's scientific content solutions business. Working closely with pharmaceutical and biotech clients, you will help identify opportunities where medical review, and content development services can address critical business needs. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, translating their scientific communication challenges into tailored Pharmareview solutions.

Scientific Content Solutions & Business Development
  • Drive business growth for Pharma Review's scientific content and medical review and approval offerings
  • Engage with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to understand their scientific communication, publication, and content development needs
  • Position Pharma review's capabilities to prospective and existing clients
  • Work with scientific and operational teams to develop tailored solutions aligned to client objectives
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support new business acquisition

Client Engagement & Solution Development
  • Develop value propositions that demonstrate the impact of high-quality scientific content on client objectives
  • Support proposal development, client presentations, and commercial discussions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling solution narratives and case studies
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support the evolution of Pharmareview's service offerings

Go-to-Market & Thought Leadership
  • Support the development of sales collateral, client-facing content, and business development materials
  • Promote awareness of Pharma Review capabilities across IQVIA commercial teams
  • Contribute to thought leadership activities focused on scientific communications, medical writing, publications, and content innovation
  • Represent Pharma Review at industry conferences and client meetings, as appropriate

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, medical communications, scientific services, or related commercial roles within life sciences
  • Strong understanding of scientific communications, medical writing, publications, medical review processes, and content development
  • Experience engaging with pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify and develop business opportunities
  • Ability to translate client needs into tailored scientific content solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in medical communications agencies, scientific content organizations, CROs, or related service providers is highly desirable
  • Deep knowledge of review and approval process, and relevant codes (EFPIA, ABPI)
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled content creation, content operations, or digital scientific communications is advantageous
