Description

Job summary
Join a practice where good medicine, strong relationships and innovative ideas can thrive.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and forward-thinking Salaried GP to join our friendly, medium-sized practice in the heart of Hampstead. We care for approximately 13,000 patients and have three GP partners supported by a multidisciplinary team of around 35 staff.

We are an established GP training practice with a strong sense of community and a genuine commitment to excellent patient care. We continually look for ways to improve how we work, develop our services and create an environment where both patients and clinicians can thrive.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team while helping to shape the future of a progressive practice.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • NHS Pension Scheme
  • Protected administrative time
  • Predominantly 15-minute appointments
  • Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team
  • Opportunities to participate in teaching and training
  • Professional development and educational opportunities
  • Involvement in service development and quality improvement projects
  • Well-established GP training environment
  • Excellent peer support and clinical collaboration
  • Convenient Hampstead location with excellent transport links

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within our supportive clinical team for 4-6 sessions per week, contributing to both clinical care and the ongoing development of the practice.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing care within our GP-led triage hub
  • Undertaking regular GP surgeries, predominantly with 15-minute appointments
  • Conducting home visits for housebound patients
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team working and clinical meetings
  • Engaging in quality improvement and service development initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Undertaking appropriate administrative work within protected time

We aim to combine efficient systems and modern ways of working with the aspects of general practice that matter most: excellent clinical care, continuity, strong relationships and thoughtful clinical decision-making.

About us
Our practice serves approximately 13,000 patients in Hampstead and is supported by three GP partners and a team of around 35 staff.

We have recently introduced a GP-led triage hub, staffed by GPs, a pharmacist and administrators, ensuring patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician or service. We are also embracing digital solutions where they genuinely improve patient care, streamline processes and reduce unnecessary administrative workload.

Collaboration, communication and learning are central to our culture. We provide:
  • Daily clinician meetings to discuss patients and share clinical learning
  • Regular multidisciplinary meetings covering frailty, complex care, palliative care, mental health and safeguarding
  • Regular in-house educational sessions
  • Monthly whole-practice meetings involving both clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Strong peer support and collaborative working
  • Opportunities to contribute to innovation and service development

We are proud to be an established GP training practice with four experienced GP trainers, including two GP Training Programme Directors.

We actively support the development of GP trainees, pharmacists, physician associates, social prescribers and UCL medical students. Our vision is to be a thriving, compassionate and sustainable GP practice, delivering excellent and equitable care through continuity, collaboration, learning and strong relationships with our patients and community.
